Q: Can I use my own Motorcycle or Quad on your Tours?
A: We have no problem accommodating clients' own vehicles (motorcycles or quads) subject to them being in line with EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) standards if they are to be used in sensitive areas.
As we do most of our guided tours through sensitive and protected areas, the major concern here would be noise pollution and/or soil erosion the vehicle may cause. We therefore have strict Tour Inclusion Requirements with regards to being eco-sensitive:
1) 4 stroke engines only
2) No Racing or modified exhaust systems allowed

Q: What type of Tours do you have?
A: Our tours are not enduro- or race orientated. We focus mainly on the family that enjoys nature at a leisurely pace.
We do have guided tours that do not enter or pass through sensitive areas and are on public or proclaimed gravel roads. On these tours there is less of a restriction on what type of vehicle you can use.

Q: How long before the time must a booking be made and be cancelled?
For Multiple Day Tours:
- For the tour a booking deposit of 15% of the total tour price is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures a place on the tour.
- The balance is due 30 days before the tour starts.
- If the total balance is not received 30 days before tour start, 22º South reserves the right to treat this reservation as cancelled and charge the cancellation fee.
- We work on a first come - first serve basis. The best way of securing your spot on the tour is to pay your deposit as soon as possible.
For Day Tours:
- 22º South requires a 100% Reservation Deposit per person to hold your trail ride reservation.
- We work on a first come - first serve basis.The best way of securing your spot on the tour is to pay your deposit as soon as possible.
- In the event of a Eco Trail Ride cancellation, you must notify 22º South in writing no less than 2 days prior to departure. In this event, the entire Reservation Deposit is fully refundable.
- Cancellations made less than 2 days prior to departure date will result in the forfeiture of the full Reservation Deposit.
- 22º South can offer no refunds once the trail ride has commenced.
